The Board of Trustees of Portage County District Library consists of seven individuals appointed by the County Commissioners and the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas of Portage County.

Have you been looking for a way to become more involved with the library? PCDL is looking for a community-minded individual to serve on our board of trustees and help shape the future of library services in Portage County. Our seven-member Board of Trustees puts emphasis on a variety of interests, age and socio-economic backgrounds, experience in various fields, and geographic representation from across our service district. Residents of the Streetsboro, Waterloo, and Southeast School Districts are especially encouraged to apply. Board appointments are for seven years, with this open term expiring in June of 2031. Board Meetings

The Board meets at 5:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. Meetings are open to the public and are held at a branch library location on a rotating basis. Public notices are send to local newspapers each month to announce the date, time and location of all Board and Committee meetings.
