Pardon Our Dust! The Garrettsville Library will be closed for renovation starting Wednesday, January 7 - Saturday, January 24. Our Garrettsville Branch will be closed for renovations as we work to create a better, more welcoming space for our community.
 

When will the Garrettsville Library be closed?
The Garrettsville Branch will be closed starting Wednesday, January 7 - Saturday, January 24. The branch will reopen on Monday, January 26.


Will I be able to return or pick up items at the Garrettsville Library?
Patrons will be unable to return or pick up items inside of the Garrettsville Library. However, the Library Return drop-off box will still be available outside of the library. Patrons can place their items for pick-up for any neighboring PCDL branches or to Library Express delivery locations. The closest to the Garrettsville Library would be the Hiram Express, located on Hayden Street, near the Post Office. 


Can I still return items that accrue fines (museum passes, Wi-Fi hotspots, etc.) to Garrettsville?
Yes! All items that accrue fines must still be returned before the due date. Items do not have to be returned to Garrettsville specifically, but can be returned in the Library Return drop-off box outside of the Garrettsville Library, a Library Express box or at another library branch location. We will still have staff checking items in in a timely manner.


Will events be happening at the Garrettsville Library?
No - there will be no events from Wednesday, January 7 - Saturday, January 24. If you're looking for a storytime, book club, craft night and more, please check out our Windham Library located in the Renaissance Family Center at 9005 Wilverne Drive, Windham, OH 44288. Garrettsville events will restart when the branch reopens on Monday, January 26.


Am I able to redeem my tickets for prizes for the Winter Reading Challenge at Garrettsville?
No - however, you can pick up prizes at any of our other library locations, including the Bookmobile! Find the Bookmobile stops here: https://portagelibrary.org/bookmobile. You are also welcome to wait to redeem tickets at Garrettsville until Monday, January 26.
