The Portage County District Library is excited to partner with local organizations to provide opportunities for lifelong learning.

Use your PCDL library card to access and explore top tourist draws in Northeast Ohio and beyond. You can find and place a hold on the passes via our catalog by searching "free museum passes" or "PCDL museum passes". You will only be able to place a hold on PCDL Museum Passes with a PCDL card.

Participating Organizations


Akron Art Museum: 2 adults & children under 18 living at the same residence. Includes parking. For hours and more information, visit akronartmuseum.org.

Akron Children's Museum: Pass for 4 persons (adults or children). Located next to Lock 3 at 216 S. Main Street in Akron. Parking is at 51 W. State Street. $2 parking on weekdays and free on weekends. For hours and more information, visit akronkids.org.

Akron Zoo: Free admission and parking for 2 adults and 4 children under 18. Includes parking. For hours and more information, visit akronzoo.org.

The Canton Museum of Art: Family pass for 2 adults and children under 18 in the household. For hours and more information, visit cantonart.org.

The Cleveland Museum of Art: Free entry for 2 adults, plus any children aged 17 and younger, for special exhibitions. General admission to CMA is always free. For hours and more information, visit clevelandart.org.

McKinley Presidential Museum: Free admission to the museum, Discovery World, and the planetarium for 2 adults & children in the same household. For hours and more information, visit mckinleymuseum.org.

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens: Free self-guided tours for up to 2 adults and 7 youths (up to age 17) during regular admission hours. Not valid for special events. This pass is not valid for Stan Hywet’s annual Deck the Hall holiday event. This pass will be unavailable to book starting in December until Stan Hywet opens for their regular season in April. Western Reserve Historical Society: 2 adults & children. $5 parking onsite. For hours and more information, visit: www.wrhs.org.

Borrowing Information

  • 1 week loan period, no renewals
  • Available for check out with Adult library cards only
  • 1 museum pass per library card
  • Must be returned to a PCDL Branch
  • $1 fine per overdue day
  • You may place a pass on hold but we cannot guarantee availability on a particular date.
  • If your museum pass is lost, stolen, or damaged, you will be held responsible for all applicable replacement costs and processing fees.
