George N. Vourlojianis, Ph.D. Emeritus Professor of History will discuss a Civil War era military unit from its formation in 1837 through WWI.

The Grays were an independent volunteer military company that saw service during the Civil War through the signing of the armistice in 1918.  The Grays were a local military organization with political, social and economic implications and influences on Cleveland's and Ohio's development.  Professor Vourlojianis will discuss the history of the unit, and take questions. This event is intended for adults.
