Gaming club meets monthly and focuses on a different game each month. This event is intended for all ages.
May 23rd: D-Day, History: To celebrate the 79th anniversary of the D-Day landings at Normandy in WWII, we will discuss the situation at the time of the landings in France in 1944. After a short lecture, we will play a board game simulation of the landings, using the Memoir' 44 game, so that players can help better visualize the difficulties of that attack.
June 27th: Take to the Skies: World War Two was fought on the ground, in the seas, and the skies. Aircraft changed the nature of war, and they were no longer simple biplanes of World War One. The importance of Aircrafts in WWII will be discussed in a short lecture, followed by a board game about air combat, easy enough for a grade schooler to pick up.
July 3rd:Games are one of the humanities earliest creations, played by kings and the common for thousands of years.
July 25th: After the American Revolution, France's Monarchy soon fell, leading to the republic, then an Empire under Napoleon. Napoleon would then carry the war to most of Europe, from the great invasion of Russia to his final battle of Waterloo. This quick crash course of the period will be followed by a game that lets you command the the forces of the era.

August 22nd: After the fall of Rome, Europe became a mixture of smaller kingdoms, ruled by men brutal and cunning enough to hold power. Learn about what life was like for people during this era of history and play a simple game about battles during this period of time.
